Palermo fought out a 1-1 draw with Torino today, both managers subsequently being under the impression that this was a fair reflection of proceedings at the Renzo Barbera.

Stefano Colantuono reflected on the home side's showing, saying, "We played very well in the first half, but fell back physically a bit in the second.

"In some ways, though, we paid the price for a lack of match sharpness. There wasn't much we could do about [Alvaro] Recoba's goal.

"But with everyone back from international appearances, we can train hard and work on our fitness."

Walter Novellino of 'Toro' agreed that it was a game of two halves, but focused mostly on the positives.

He told the press, "I'm extremely pleased with the improvement shown by the squad.

"The defence is finding its feet and working well together, which is never easy against strikers like Palermo's.

"We're getitng better and I don't see why we need to stop improving, but I don't know what the rest of the season holds."

Palermo are on 4 points, Torino on 3, after the third round of matches in Serie A.
