Torino midfielder Jurgen Saumel has explained that he has no desire to leave the club in January, despite interest from Serie A clubs Chievo Verona and Lazio.

The player has impressed since moving to Torino from Sturm Graz in 2008 but insists that he will be staying in the city of Turin for the time being.

"Leaving in January? I don't think so," he was quoted as saying by Tuttomercatoweb.

"I am fine here, I feel the trust of the fans and the coach."

Saumel was a part of Austria's Euro 2008 squad and continues to feature on the international stage.

Last season he made 19 appearances for the Granata, scoring twice.

Torino are currently tied for second place in Serie B and are aiming to regain their Serie A status as quickly as possible.
