Preview
Balanced Game
Torino and Cagliari arrive to this clash with the same number of points, but with probably different confidence. The Granata have won just one game in their last 6 matches played, but have shown positive signs, including last week’s comeback from 0-2 to 2-2 away to Atalanta and in the derby game against Juventus, which they lost in the final second.
On the other hand, also Cagliari won one game in the last 6 games, have looked far from impressive in their recent outings, whereas their start to the season looked very promising.
Injury problems
Both teams are destined to battle the relegation till the last matchdays, even though Torino without all their injured players would be able to reach a comfortable mid-table position in the end.
In fact the Granata have 6 important players all ruled out due to injury, apart from two other suspended players. Thus Walter Novellino’s team does not arrive to this clash in the best possible way, even though the first eleven the former Sampdoria coach has available is still a good enough team.
A Much-needed Win
A win for either side could be extremely helpful considering how many teams are regrouped in such a small number of points. In fact whoever wins could theoretically climb up to the 9th place, in the company of Napoli, whilst waiting for the results of the other matches.
Coach Giampaolo of Cagliari must also be wary on the fact that President Ciellino’s patience might soon wear off, therefore a negative result in this game could also spell the end of his Rossoblu job.

PLAYERS TO WATCH
Recoba (Torino)
Has done well so far, but still needs to give something more in order to help the Granata make a step forward. A good opportunity to prove all his worth.
Foggia (Cagliari)
Had a great start to the season, even though now he seems to have slowed down. Cagliari need him to be at his best if they want to win as many points as possible this season.
