Torino remain in relegation

After an uneventful opening 20 minutes or so Milan gradually took charge of the game and a cracking strike from 30 yards from Clarence Seedorf in the 25th minute put them in front.
Seedorf unleashed the swerving drive from a central area but the Dutchman was given far too much room to line up his effort and Christian Abbiati, who is on loan from Milan, maybe could have saved it.
Milan seemed to have a lot of luck working the ball down the wings and then checking the ball back for onrushing players to shoot from distance, however their finishing was a little off with Andrea Pirlo guiltier than most.
Torino on the other hand could offer absolutely nothing going forward and Dida must have been wondering why he even bothered coming out for the first-half.
Torino brought on Roberto Muzzi in the second-half and they gradually started to look a bit more competitive, and the substitute nearly put them level just after the hour mark as Dida flapped at a corner, but despite the ball falling nicely at his feet he fired wide.
Torino's fight back bid then suffered a massive blow 18 minutes from time when Oscar Brevi was sent-off for a second bookable offence.
Milan didn't do much to try and get a second but instead ate away at the clock by using the extra man to hold onto possession whenever they got the ball.
Torino had no answer once Brevi was sent off, and when Muzzi dragged a free wide from just outside the box two minutes from time their last chance had gone.
